Here's a close up of my little pumpkin.

Toothless

Toothless has been one of my oldest grandaughters favorites since she was around 3 years old, maybe even two.  As soon as she was old enough to have an opinion she let us all know she didn't want a bedroom with princesses all over it, she wanted How to Train Your Dragon!
This past summer we all went to see the second movie at the theater.  It was super cute! I have to tell you about her hair bow, too.  She rode with Grandpa & I to the theater. So while we were waiting for her parents to get there she grabbed one of her sisters hair bows and climbed in the center of the truck to look in the mirror.  She put her bow in her hair and proudly said, "Grandma, don't I look beuuuuutifuuul"!  Of'course she did, so she wore her bow just like that all day.  Sometimes you just have to let it go and let them express themselves :). She felt pretty with her bow like that and that makes this Grandm so happy!
Anyway, on to the page.  I used this adorable dragon pattern from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

I cut off the two rounded edges of his snout and then attached that to his head upside down.  I used the black part of the eyes, made one set quite a bit larger and attached those to his face sideways.  For his body I embossed black cardstock to make the bumpy look.  I used a clear Wink of. Stella pen on his eyes and also on his claws. They look super cool in real life.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Grandpa & Grandma's House

Today I'm sharing a page I made for a Thursday challenge on the Scraptastic Blog. The challenge was to use 5 circles on your page. I used patterns from Little Scraps of Heaven designs to embellish my page. I used the 3D now, Small Scalloped border & the doily pattern.  As I was making this I kept trying to add more embellishments to the circles but in the end I decided I really liked them just like this.
This is my grandparents home, the picture was probably taken in the late 50's.  This was one of my favorite places to be, the other was my other grandparents home.  My grandparents owned a grocery store & their home was attached to the back of the store.  This view is looking from the back yard at the back of their store & their home is to the left.  My Grandma was quite a homemaker.  I always thought her home looked like it should be in a magazine.  She had very classy taste & decorated her home so lovely.  I wish I had more pictures & pictures of the inside of her home.

Floppy Bear

Here's a page I made with one of  the newest patterns at LSHD, Floppy Bear.  Tricia offered this pattern for a free a couple of days ago with one catch, you needed to create something with it in the next 48 hours.
I started my whole process different then I normally do.  I started with the pattern since that was what I needed to use.  Then I went through my papers.  I found a beautiful paper kit that I had completely forgotten about.  It is called Kaisercraft Needle & Thread.  When I saw that I knew I wanted to make a patchwork bear.  I was picturing a little bear that looked like he had been made out of Grandma's old quilt. I always wanted to do that with my Grandma's old bedspreads.  It's still on the long list, lol.  After I decided all that I decided to use a baby picture.  I wanted to use a picture of one of my three granddaughters, so I got out my printed photos and started looking.  I found these two of Jellybean right away & decided they were perfect for this project.
I love this page & I love this little bear.  He will be used quite often in my projects!
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Make sure to stop by our fanpage.  We would love to see the projects you create with our patterns.  You might even find a challenge you would like to join.

Sweet Baby

Today I'm sharing a page I made for the Sketchy Thursday challenge at Scraptastic.  I almost didn't get it done in time :)
For this page I used two patterns from LSHD.  I used the Love frame from the Live Love Laugh pattern & the Large Lace Mat Hearts.
August was my first month to get a Scraptastic kit & I had pretty much used it up.  For this page I did use a small piece of paper I had left.  It's two tones of pink & has star burst on it. I also used the wood veneer banner from the August kit.
Here's the sketch I used for inspiration...
 Here's my page...

Dairy Shack

This is a favorite summer hangout for my granddaughters!  Doodlebug counts down the days until they finally open for the summer!  She lives very near so she can hear them calling out orders on the loud speaker.  She thinks she should eat there at least once daily!  The last day of the season is always a sad day.

For this page I used the Ice Cream Kids pattern collection to make the shake cup.
I used several scraps from a couple of summer themed Echo Park paper packs.
I apologize for the photo on this one.  I had a hard time getting a good one of this page.  Not sure if it was all the colors or patterns but it just was not photographing well.

All Summer Long

Here's a new page I finished.
I used the Down by the Creek pattern collection. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket Summer Love collection.  It's probably an older collection because I found it at Tuesday Morning.  I'm wishing I would have purchased two of them because it's a fun collection to work with.
Thanks for stopping by today!  I'm going to try to keep up with my blog better!
