Keegan's Birthday
I can hardly believe it's been a year & what a year it has been. So many ups & downs all year long so it was so much fun to celebrate Keegan's 1st birthday!
I thought I would share a few pictures :)
I decided to make him a birthday banner. Once I figured out how much paper it would use, I decided not to add his age to it, so that we can use it every year.
I used the Banner Collection and the Birthday Monkey Collection for this banner. I cut the letter out of the top layer of the banner, so that they back layer would show through. That saved me some paper.(yes, I have enough paper for 10 years of projects but I had to be thrifty, lol)
I thought I would share a few pictures :)
He wanted nothing to do with opening his presents. His cousin, was trying so hard to get him to open one but he wasn't having anything to do with them!
Loved this picture! The front of his outfit says "Future Quarterback"
Finally, his cousins started opening all of his gifts. I'm so glad they were there or we might have had a long day!
Now that they are opened, he's having fun!
Cake time & he was not happy about that! He really didn't want anything to do with it and didn't even eat a bite!
What we didn't know is that the poor little guy was on the verge of becoming a sick little boy. By the end of his party we noticed that he had a slight fever and by the next day he was sick. Poor little guy had to go to the hospital and get some iv fluids. Today, he's feeling a bit better but still has a pretty croupy cough and not quite himself, yet. I sure wish we could redo his party for him when he feels better. This Grandma thinks we will at least have cake!I decided to make him a birthday banner. Design Team Friday 9-2-2011
This week we were given a great challenge, an "anything goes" challenge. We could pick our subject and have fun creating!
So, I decided to make a layout. I have a hard time making pages and I really have a hard time using my baby pictures!
I decided to use this weeks sketch challenge, it has two square pictures on it so that did it, I decided to use a couple of my baby pictures.
I used two pictures of my cousin & I, we were 3 weeks apart in age. We stayed with our Grandma quite often, she always said taking care of us was just like taking care of twins and she should know because she had a set of twins. What one of us didn't think of, the other one did.

It's Design Team Friday...my favorite day of the week :)
Wow, it's been such a long week! We've had our grandbaby all week and he has been a sick little boy. Poor little guy has been miserable so I did not get any crafting done this week, that's okay soon he will be to big to want rocked by Grandma.
Thankfully, I had my project done for this Friday so here it is...
This week we were challenged to create a project with a "Happy Every After" theme and to use bling for this project. The pictures for this project are all from our granddaughters second birthday. She had a Cinderella theme and it's a good thing we had her Cinderella party because now all she is interested in is dragons, How to Train Your Dragon to be exact! Her pretty pink princess room is a thing of the past, lol.
For this project I used the Sleeping Beauty collection. Be sure to check out the LSHD Fanpage at Facebook to see how you can join us in our Friday Challenges.
Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Friday Challenge-All About A Boy
This week the design team at Little Scraps of Heaven were challenged to make a project that was "All About A Boy" and we needed to include buttons.
I decided to pull out a blank album I've had in a drawer for a couple of years(shame on me). It's made by Piggy Tales and has slider picture areas.
I used several patterns for this project, so I am going to try to link each pattern above the page it was used on.
Front Cover: To the Moon
Pages 1 & 2: To the Moon
Pages 3 & 4: Boys and Their Toys
Pages 5 & 6: Robot Collection
Pages 7 & 8: Double Trouble

This week our design team at Little Scraps of Heaven was challenged to make a "hot" themed project.
I decided to make this little coaster album and boy was it fun! I love these little mermaids :)

For this project I used the Mermaid Buddies collection. Each page has a mat for a 2x3 photo. The photo will slip right under the embellishments.

Baby Girl Brag Book
Today I'm sharing a little brag book that is perfect for your purse. I've decorated the front & back cover of this little book. The inside pockets are 4x6, so perfect for the most popular size pictures.
I used two pattern sets for this project: Be My Baby and Be My Baby Accessories both from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.
I have this album listed for sell at Etsy :)

A little altering today...
I found this at a thrift store on quarter day...
When I saw this I immediately thought of the I am a Promise pattern.
I didn't do a lot of altering to this one. I didn't even have to take the bear off, McKayla ripped that off first thing :).
Here's what I came up with...
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to come on over to Facebook and check out our fanpage to join in on the fun!
