Hello, time for another sketch challenge layout!  This one is for the November 1 sketch.
I loved this sketch!!
These are pictures of one of my youngest granddaughters.  I love her little fall sweater!  I used a lot of different companies on this page but I have all my fall stuff store in one container, so most I don't know what company it is by.  I do know the pattern paper is by Doodlbug, The enamel dots are Fancy Pants.  The star of the show is that darling raccoon paper piecing by Little Scraps of Heaven designs.  She is the Raccoon with Pumpkin pattern.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hello, I have another sketch challenge layout to share today!
This one is for the Sketches in Thyme blog.  Here is the sketch I used for inspiration.

This was such a fun sketch to use!  I knew right away I wanted to use these pictures of my 4 year old granddaughter.  She decided to cut her own hair.  When I asked her why, she told me she wanted to look like her Mommy.
I used the Locks of Love pattern from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I thought it was fun to make my little girl piecing have short hair on one side, holding her cut off hair on the other side.  I actually have the hair she cut off.  I'm going to slip it behind the page in the album.  She cut about 8 inches off.  I used Simple Stories Carpe Diem paper pad for this page.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Hey there, I'm here again today!  I have a fun layout today!  I used a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy for this page.

For this layout I used a darling picture of one of my grandbabies.  When I found it in my photo box, I  knew I had to get this one in the book.  She is laying on a blanket that I gave to her.  Almost three years later and this blanket is with her all the time.  It is not so colorful and soft as it was in this picture.  I love that it became here blankie.
My owl cut file is from Little Scraps of Heaven & called Rustic Fall Owl.  It is a super cute pattern for fall, but you can use for anything just by the papers & colors you use.  All of my papers are from Bella Blvd She Blooms.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hello, here I am again :)  Today I'm sharing another layout I made with an October sketch from Sketches in Thyme. I used this sketch
Here is the page that I made.
I love this photo of my grandsons!  It was the older ones birthday but I think his little brother was more excited then him about this gift.  That face cracks me up, especially since he photobombed me.  I was taking a picture of his brother opening the gift when he came running over all excited.  Perfect time to snap that picture!
My patterns are all from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs and my papers used are all from the Simple Stories Let's Party collection.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi there, long time no post from me!  Life has been very crazy at my house!
I have found some time to scrap more then usual the past couple of weeks.  I want to share this page I made using this sketch from Sketches In Tyme. I love this sketch!
Here is my take on this beautiful sketch!
This is one of my grandbabies.  I love this picture of her inspecting a dandelion!  She still has her baby pudge in this picture, so sweet!  My paper piecing is You're So Dandy from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  My paper is all from the Simple Stories Faith Collection.
Thank you for stopping by today.  I know I always say this but I'm hoping to keep up more.  I have a new computer so that will make things easier.  No more blue screens in the middle of trying to post or even get to a website, lol.

Toothless

Toothless has been one of my oldest grandaughters favorites since she was around 3 years old, maybe even two.  As soon as she was old enough to have an opinion she let us all know she didn't want a bedroom with princesses all over it, she wanted How to Train Your Dragon!
This past summer we all went to see the second movie at the theater.  It was super cute! I have to tell you about her hair bow, too.  She rode with Grandpa & I to the theater. So while we were waiting for her parents to get there she grabbed one of her sisters hair bows and climbed in the center of the truck to look in the mirror.  She put her bow in her hair and proudly said, "Grandma, don't I look beuuuuutifuuul"!  Of'course she did, so she wore her bow just like that all day.  Sometimes you just have to let it go and let them express themselves :). She felt pretty with her bow like that and that makes this Grandm so happy!
Anyway, on to the page.  I used this adorable dragon pattern from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

I cut off the two rounded edges of his snout and then attached that to his head upside down.  I used the black part of the eyes, made one set quite a bit larger and attached those to his face sideways.  For his body I embossed black cardstock to make the bumpy look.  I used a clear Wink of. Stella pen on his eyes and also on his claws. They look super cool in real life.

Grandpa & Grandma's House

Today I'm sharing a page I made for a Thursday challenge on the Scraptastic Blog. The challenge was to use 5 circles on your page. I used patterns from Little Scraps of Heaven designs to embellish my page. I used the 3D now, Small Scalloped border & the doily pattern.  As I was making this I kept trying to add more embellishments to the circles but in the end I decided I really liked them just like this.
This is my grandparents home, the picture was probably taken in the late 50's.  This was one of my favorite places to be, the other was my other grandparents home.  My grandparents owned a grocery store & their home was attached to the back of the store.  This view is looking from the back yard at the back of their store & their home is to the left.  My Grandma was quite a homemaker.  I always thought her home looked like it should be in a magazine.  She had very classy taste & decorated her home so lovely.  I wish I had more pictures & pictures of the inside of her home.

Floppy Bear

Here's a page I made with one of  the newest patterns at LSHD, Floppy Bear.  Tricia offered this pattern for a free a couple of days ago with one catch, you needed to create something with it in the next 48 hours.
I started my whole process different then I normally do.  I started with the pattern since that was what I needed to use.  Then I went through my papers.  I found a beautiful paper kit that I had completely forgotten about.  It is called Kaisercraft Needle & Thread.  When I saw that I knew I wanted to make a patchwork bear.  I was picturing a little bear that looked like he had been made out of Grandma's old quilt. I always wanted to do that with my Grandma's old bedspreads.  It's still on the long list, lol.  After I decided all that I decided to use a baby picture.  I wanted to use a picture of one of my three granddaughters, so I got out my printed photos and started looking.  I found these two of Jellybean right away & decided they were perfect for this project.
I love this page & I love this little bear.  He will be used quite often in my projects!
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Make sure to stop by our fanpage.  We would love to see the projects you create with our patterns.  You might even find a challenge you would like to join.

Sweet Baby

Today I'm sharing a page I made for the Sketchy Thursday challenge at Scraptastic.  I almost didn't get it done in time :)
For this page I used two patterns from LSHD.  I used the Love frame from the Live Love Laugh pattern & the Large Lace Mat Hearts.
August was my first month to get a Scraptastic kit & I had pretty much used it up.  For this page I did use a small piece of paper I had left.  It's two tones of pink & has star burst on it. I also used the wood veneer banner from the August kit.
Here's the sketch I used for inspiration...
 Here's my page...

Dairy Shack

This is a favorite summer hangout for my granddaughters!  Doodlebug counts down the days until they finally open for the summer!  She lives very near so she can hear them calling out orders on the loud speaker.  She thinks she should eat there at least once daily!  The last day of the season is always a sad day.

For this page I used the Ice Cream Kids pattern collection to make the shake cup.
I used several scraps from a couple of summer themed Echo Park paper packs.
I apologize for the photo on this one.  I had a hard time getting a good one of this page.  Not sure if it was all the colors or patterns but it just was not photographing well.

All Summer Long

Here's a new page I finished.
I used the Down by the Creek pattern collection. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket Summer Love collection.  It's probably an older collection because I found it at Tuesday Morning.  I'm wishing I would have purchased two of them because it's a fun collection to work with.
Thanks for stopping by today!  I'm going to try to keep up with my blog better!

My hubby & I have been traveling since May!  We are finally home & have no plans to go anywhere anytime soon.  I'm sure going to miss seeing our grands but it's so nice to be home.
I plan on getting back to blogging!

The long drive home...

My hubby & I have been gone for 3 weeks spending time with our daughter & her family.  They welcomed a new baby girl into their family on May 29th.  It was so great to be able to spend time with the new little one & her big sister.
We finally came home this week.  Big sister surprised us & came home with us.  We had a very long drive home!
Here's how the trip went...
We got all packed up and found a little space for Doodlebug & we were off.

Doodlebug helped us find the way with her very own map!
It's a very long drive home!  Doodlebug tells us that she has lots of "up downs" near her house & that she always knows when she is almost to Grandpa & Grandma's because there are no more "up downs"
We knew it would have to happen!  What would a summer road trip
 be without road construction?
 Time for a nap :)
Here's where the fun starts!  I got online & checked the roads before we headed home.  I saw that the road was now open so we decided on this route home.  It's a beautiful drive along the river.  From here our drive should be about 30 minutes, lol!  Just last week there was flood water all around this area.
There are still sandbags across the road and lots of water pumping but the road was open, lol!
A little ways down the road we started seeing lots more water and flooded houses but the road was still open, lol.
 Detour #1 of many!
Yet another detour but we still thought we might make it home.
Uh'oh, now it's getting really serious!  We ended up on a back road up & over the river bluff.  Yep, the road was closed!
Oh'no, another detour!  So close to home but so far away.  No way we were making it through this road.  Now is when the fun starts.  We now had to drive on tiny blacktop road and then a gravel road.  Did I mention we have been driving for over and hour now from when I said we are 30 minutes from home?

Finally after another 1 1/2 hours and about a
100 deer running out of in front of us, we made it home!

Introducing...

Our newest grandbaby!  She was born on May 29th & weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces, she is absolutely perfect!
I'll be referring to this one as Jellybean when I'm posting online.
