Here's a set I've been working on. I've decided to try & start selling some of my piecings, so this is my first set to list at Etsy.
To make this set, I used the Rainbow Bears pattern set from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.
I've listed this in my Etsy shop :)

Design Team Friday
This week our challenge was to create a water themed project.
I found this paper & loved it! I had also purchased an adorable crab outfit for Keegan, so I knew I had to make a page including this paper, Keegan with his crab outfit and use the Under the Sea pattern collection.
So, what's a girl in Illinois to do? How could I make a beach themed page? Well, here's what I came up with! We took the grandkids to a great new sports store. It's called Scheels & it has the most amazing salt water aquarium just inside the door!
So, here's my Friday project...

Keegan's Smash Book
It's time to share a few more pages Keegan's Smash book.
For these pages, I thought it would be fun to add some tags from his clothes. I've added a few that I've been saving since he was born. I don't know why I was saving them but I knew I would use them for something, lol!
This one is the last of the tags pages. For this page I used the onesie pattern from the "Be My Baby Accessories" pattern set.
For the right page, I used the "Tooth Fairy Boy" pattern for this page. This is one of my favorite page in his book!
Here's the other side of that page
That's it for today. I'll be sharing more pages later :)

Monday Project
For my Little Scraps of Heaven design team project today I experimented with putting a paper piecing on shirts.
First I applied Wonder Under to my fabric. When you cut your fabric for this project, you don't want to cut it really small. Give plenty of room for it to stick to your mat while cutting. I usually cut my paper just big enough for the what I'm cutting but you don't want to do that with the fabric.
Also, don't choose a pattern with a lot of small details, especially if you are using a Cricut because you just won't get a good cut. I don't know if some of the other machines would work better, wish I had one to try, lol!
Iron Wonder Under to the wrong side of all of your pieces of material.
Next place them all on your cutting mat and cut.
Now it's time to start ironing them onto the fabric. I wanted something between the layers of the shirt so I grabbed a thick changing pad. It was right there and handy.
Now start ironing them on starting with the bottom layer
For these projects I used the Boys and Their Toys collection & the Sock Monkey pattern.

Now, you should probably finish it off with a zig-zag stitch. I didn't because I hate sewing on knit shirts. If I ever do this again, then I would finish them for sure but for this experiment, I didn't.
I think the patterns would look adorable on a quilt! I also think they would be cute on a tote bag, really the possibilities are endless!
Now for the finished project! I had to wait to share this project until my little model was at Grandma's house and could show off her new shirt!
For these projects I used the Boys and Their Toys collection & the Sock Monkey pattern.

Go Green & Recycle
This week our design team at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs was challenged to Go Green & Recycle. I saw this idea on a TV show called "The Spotted Canary". As soon as I saw the new ABC's and 123's collection, I knew I had to try & make one for myself. All you need is an empty carton. We had orange juice, so that's what I used.![]()
First I sanded the carton to get the glossy layer off it. Next I painted the carton white. If I do another one, I think I would choose a darker color that matched my papers. I didn't worry about painting the entire carton because I knew I was going to cover it with paper.Next step is to decide where the flap is going to be. I used my t-ruler to draw my cutting lines. If you don't have one of these rulers you might check them out. They are cheap and so great to use!
Use and exacto knife to cut the trash door opening.
You can find this pattern at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs

Keegan's Smash Book
Today I'm sharing the next page in Keegan's Smash Book.
This one is to keep track of his growth. The giraffe flips open, under it is a lot of empty space for charting.

Smash Book for Keegan
I finally got this book done! I decided to make a homemade smash book for Keegan. I started it from his birth and will keep using it until there is no room left in it. I added all sorts of envelopes and blank pages. I also made "theme" pages. I used paper piecings from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs for those pages.
I think this book has turned out so cute with all the paper piecings in it. I know Keegan will enjoy reading this book someday.

Jenna
This afternoon I made a page for a memorial album for Hunter. His Grandma, Jenna, was a very dear friend. She suddenly passed away last fall. Our scrapbook group, The Rowdy Bunch, is making a book for her grandson, Hunter.
I have been blessed to have known Jenna & to call her a friend.

McKayla's Journal
For my 1st design team project this week I found this adorable little journal.
I thought this little journal would be just perfect for our 3-year old granddaughter. She loves to come into my scrapping room and draw.
I used the Back to School Bears pattern set for this project. I used the little girl bear from the "bear with backpack" pattern & the chalkboard from the "bear at chalkboard" pattern.
My plan is to get this little journal out each time McKayla is at our house & have her draw a few pictures in it. It will be fun to look through when she is grown :).
Thanks for visiting my blog! Be sure to check out all the adorable patterns at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs & find us on Facebook.

Pages for Baby Dennis
Hi all, today I thought I would share the pages I've made for a sweet little baby named Dennis. He is a 9 month old who is very ill. A friend of his Mom's is trying to get scrapbooks made for his parents to have. The design team at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs is making a book for him. We are all making 8x8 pages and hoping to have a full book to send to her. If you would like to help in any way here is a link to a Facebook page with all of the info.

Design Team Project for Today
For my project today, I made a cute little corner bookmark. These are so simple to make and would be great for little gift projects. There are so many tutorials out there to use to make this one so if you just search for "corner bookmark tutorial" you will find a bunch of them.
The pattern that I used to make this little owl can be found at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I used the "hoot owl" pattern from the Nature Buddies Pattern Set.
