New Wheels!

"C" got a "new" used car this evening! This is a horrible picture, but I hadn't taken my picture for today, so this is it!

I'll get a better one of her on Saturday. She is so excited!!! It's a pretty sharp little car for a teenager!

More auction finds!

Another BOWL!!!!!! That's what hubby said when he saw this little gem get pulled out of the box! Hey, now how could I pass up a Pyrex bowl for $2? I couldn't!
I found this Tupperware at one of the yard sales for $1 It's perfect for Splenda, sugar & those little water flavor packets!

This gravy boat was one of the first things I found at the auction & decided I "needed", lol! I love the retro look of it! When will I use it, I have no clue, but it looks pretty in my cabinet! I got it for $2! Pretty good deal, especially since I got a whole box of other stuff with it. I'll have to take a picture of a couple of things I found in the box that were pretty cute!

After the yard sales & the first auction we went to the next auction for the day. I think we were both to exhausted to care anymore. The gnats were horrible & we were both sunburned. We didn't get a thing & left before it was over. I guess that is a lesson learned. Starting at 6:45 at a town wide yard sale & then to a daytime auction & on to an evening auction is just to long of a day! It was fun, though.

Rotisserie Chicken, Yummy!

I love to go to auctions & garage sales! Since it's finally warmed up, my friend, Darlene & I have been going every Saturday! Last Saturday was the best, yet! We started the morning at 6:45 a.m.! We drove to a small town about 30 minutes from us. They were having a town wide yard sale. We had so much fun & found so many bargains! My best bargain was a Sunbeam Rotisserie. I was a tad skeptical when I got home & looked up a few reviews on the net. They were not very good! One review was terrible & all about trying to get the bird into the machine & the mess she made trying to get it out. I was pleasantly surprised, when I tried my new toy out, yesterday. The bird went right in & danced all afternoon with a yummy aroma! When it was done, I had no problems getting it out & clean up was simple, just put all the parts in the dishwasher & done!
I have a feeling we will be having chicken every week!

I guess I gotta start somewhere!

Valerie challenged us to try Project 365 & take a picture everyday.

I have been trying, but I really stink at this!!! I can take 365 pictures in one day, easy! It's not so easy to take 1 picture everyday! I'm going to give it a try, though. The hardest part of the challenge for me, is to take pictures I wouldn't normally think to take.
This is my first picture. I took this one on Tuesday night, while I was getting ready for my CTMH party. We have a town hall in our little village, so I always have my parties over there. It's got a nice large room, with awesome room for tables & great lighting. I realized as I was walking around, waiting for the guest to come, that I should take a picture of this.
You can't read the plaque, so I'll have to go back over & take a close-up of it. This is my grandparents. They were the heart of the town hall & our little village for many years. Grandma was determined to fix the place up. When Grandpa passed away, the memorial money went to putting in a new floor for the hall. I always feel so special when I see this picture of Grandma & Grandpa, on the wall.
